Today is December 14, 2006. The first printing of the books has arrived and looks wonderful. I am as pleased with the production and delivery as I was with the proofreaders and their invaluable assistance.

To that end, I want to thank those four faithful laborers who pored over the manuscript after I had read and re-read it innumerable times. It is amazing how every one of the proofreaders found some errors which nobody else did. And, though I fully expect that there will still be found some insignificant—but annoying—error which crept in unbeknownst to any of us, all readers of this book are blessed by the concerted efforts of:
